When you use the Science Museums’ webshop –, you agree to the Science Museums processing your personal data in accordance with relevant legislation on the protection of personal data.

We will only store your personal data for as long as we have a legal obligation to do so, or for as long as is relevant for the purpose for which it was collected.

If you want to buy and receive a product from us, we need to collect certain personal data in order to carry out the transaction and for possible future complaints.

We can obtain information such as IP, name, email address, postal address, delivery address (if different from postal address), telephone number and possibly student registration number/AU-id.

The Science Museums collect and process your personal data in the following situations:

  • When you purchase our products
  • When you create a customer account
  • When you send questions, complaints or feedback

Your normal contact information such as your name and address will be collected in order to deliver the product you have purchased from us. We ask for your email address in order to send you an order confirmation and delivery confirmation.

We store your information and the information about your purchase for at least as long as necessary to complete the objectives of processing the data, and until you no longer have a right to complain. We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not transfer your personal data to third countries.

If you have ordered delivery, the information about your name, address, telephone number and email address will be submitted to our freight company, currently PostNord, in order to deliver your purchases.

We have our webshop at Høks ApS, who is our data processor. All personal data that you provide on our website will be stored in the Høks data centre.

We have entered into data processing agreements with Høks ApS, which is our guarantee that they will comply with the current rules on protection of your personal data.

When you have to pay

Data collected in connection with your payment transaction is handled by NETS.

If you do not wish to provide the personal data required to complete the purchase of a product, you will unfortunately not be able to buy products from us via our website.
